Now as a private company, S.H.I.E.L.D. continues to operate as a freelance security consultancy that provides matchmaking services between Agents and clients engaged by the Sales team at the New York office. A Research team operates from Area 51 to study findings and supply new equipment. Here, an Administrator team manages the whole network infrastructure and the locally secure Server Farm. Finally, an Operations team is housed at the governmental HQ at Langley to coordinate the organization. A Site Security group represents the highly trained security personnel at all 3 offices, who must have wireless network communications. The New York office is connected to the Langley HQ via a WAN Frame Relay link, while Area 51 facility is connected to the Langley HQ via a WAN PPP link.

The company is implementing a network that should support potential growth over the next five years. The task is to design, implement and fully document the proposed company network of S.H.I.E.L.D.
