XenCORP is a manufacturing firm that has outsourced its IT to the company you work, IT Zone PTY Ltd.  Currently XenCORP runs Windows 10 on all its desktops but XenCORP’s new business requirements state that they will only use opensource software moving forward. You are suggested to start a piolet program as prove of conceptin XenCORP R&D department. R&D consist of 10 highly skilled group of Engineers who use 10Windows 10 desktops. You are to migrate these 10 desktops from windows 10 to use the RHEL7 operating System whilst retaining the entire employee’s data. The 10 R&D desktops are run as an isolated/restricted network apart from the main XenCORP network. XenCORP’sorganisational guidelines give the R&D department accesses to only physical networks and access to the internet within office environment. They are also permitted to use application based video conferencingon their workstations. It is also required that Engineers be able to run multiple operating systems on their host computers for testing and research and development. Moreover it is important that R&D Engineers to have access to Linux applications and toolsrepository on premise  which they can install if required with preferably as little effort as possible. XenCORP’s organisational guidelines states that before any major IT Tasks can commence they must be formally documented in a report for management, as their corporate purchasing procedures require any requirements to be fully explained so that budget concerns can be identified prior to commencement of any major IT project. The guideline also clarify that proprietary software and licenses should be kept in the IT safe and they will only use vendor’s who can offer them professional support for their IT environment.
