 Apart from being involved with the children other tasks from the organization are to wash the dishes, take out chairs and cleaning, there is a timetable for everyone within
the organization so we take turns. DCP has a large space of gardening which is done on Fridays by woman’s support group, one of the tasks I do is to help them since it is a way alleviating poverty and can be used as an income generating project because with the vegetables that are sold the money can saved for when there is no funding, help to buy maize meal, inks, A4 papers or even buy educational games for children. Volunteering is about being hands on, using your brain and efforts without thinking money hence these are the task that I can do since am not a full time child care worker therefore two and half hours can allow me to do this necessary task
