1. Identify and briefly describe each stage of the Clinical Reasoning Cycle.
2. Describe why it is important to not be influenced by your preconceptions, assumptions, and biases for the first stage of the Clinical Reasoning Cycle.
3. The primary and secondary survey is a systematic method of assessment to assist in collecting the cues of objective and subjective data. Describe the benefits of this method of assessment.
4. Review and refer to the information in the Case Study and accompanying documents provided in the subject Interact2 site Assessment item 2 folder to address the following
a. There is missing data in the Case Study Identify three (3) pieces of data that are missing and outline an open-ended question for each piece of data that could be used to help the nurse gain more information from the patient. Describe why the information gained from each of these questions is important to plan for the patient's care.
b. Identify at least three objective and/or subjective cues within the accepted normal range for this patient
c. Identify at least three objective and/or subjective cues outside the accepted normal range for this patient.
5. Describe why is it important for nurses to correctly identify cues from objective & subjective data that might be outside the accepted normal range.
