IDENTIFYING PROBLEMS/ISSUES
Actual and Potential Nursing Diagnoses to Consider
• Potential for increased falls risk related to movement disorders manifested by tremor and bradykinesia
• Increased potential for depression related to poor prognosis and altered mobility impacting Quality of Life (QoL)
• Potential risk for depression related to apathy and poor prognosis
• Increased risk of medication interactions related to polypharmacy
• Actual increased pain related to muscle rigidity and nerve compression in lower back and neck
• Actual loss of independence causing concerns for future care for Nathan and Heather
• Brainstorm some other nursing diagnoses either actual or potential that are important for the Multi-disciplinary Team (MDT) to address
