Transitioning to professional practice is a critical phase for the novice registered nurse. The transition period from student to registered nurse can be filled with many challenges. During this time registered nurses are expected to demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and attitudes associated with the profession while adjusting to the “real world of nursing.
