You will need to include relevant Australian National and State statistics and/or demographic data in your discussion and you need to comment on the importance of supporting this consumer group
with the identified health focus/concern/need.

d) Identify a health promotion/education/information resource your selected PHC nurse would use to support the health literacy for your chosen consumer group in relation to the identified health focus/concern/need. Your discussion will include an explanation of the nurse’s role in consumer education and health literacy.

e) Critique the selected health promotion/education/information resource using the template provided. Your critique will include feedback from other health staff, nurses and/or consumer group in a relevant clinical setting. Include your completed template in your written assessment 1 submission. f) Based on your critique, produce a modified health promotion/education/information resource. You will redevelop this health resource using the information from your critique. This will demonstrate your applied knowledge and understanding for the health literacy of your identified consumer group and the health focus/concern/need.
