Choose one of the following topics to create your health promotion flyer.:

1. Prevention of a communicable disease in a context and population of your choice, or
2. Immunisation to prevent a communicable disease in a context and population of your choice.

Your flyer needs to:

1. Communicate to an appropriate level for your chosen population and context. Consider the health literacy of your chosen population language and terminology to use so the general public can understand. Think about health literacy. Make sure that you use clear and concise language, which in most cases means writing for a reading level of approximately 14 years.
2. Identify why the health promotion practice is important (consider inclusion of epidemiology and statistics of the chosen disease)
3. Identify how to undertake the health promotion activity (eg: access vaccinations)

The flyer will need to have an appropriate balance of pictorial and written elements to adequately communicate your health promotion message. It can be a 1 page flyer or 3 page folded pamphlet style flyer. A4 size. You can use both sides if you wish.

Produce a report that explains your flyer.

Your report should discuss:

1. one relevant social determinant of health and
2. how the health promotion flyer could potentially improve the social determinant of health relevant to the chosen population
