• A good academic poster is easy to follow, with a clear layout.
• The way that the majority of people will read the poster is from top to bottom or from left to right.  
• Using a series of boxes or columns can be a really good way to organise your different sections (we suggest you use  6 different boxes, 1 for each of the sections on the marking criteria). You need to make sure those boxes are clearly labelled.  
• Using pictures or infographics can be a really nice way to break up your text. You can use the graphic to prompt a particular point which you can explain within your audio commentary.
