Ruby is a smoker; otherwise she is fit and healthy. Patient 2: Peter is a sixty (60) year old Caucasian male who lives in an urban environment. His General Practitioner has referred him to a General Surgeon for Excision of a Basil Cell Carcinoma (BCC - Skin Lesion) from his left forearm. Peter is a moderate drinker, and a little overweight, but otherwise fit and healthy. Describe the patient’s pathway through their perioperative journey, linking this to the care a nurse would give in EACH of the six perioperative roles.
