Introduction

This task reflects the understanding of a pair-activity on developing a debate on “Palliative Care in terminal illness”. Our approach was quite different from each other to work on the debate. However, we overcome the challenges faced during the partnership work and tried to be as positive as possible. 

Description/ contribution made by both parties
We chose a Palliative Care in terminal illness in order to present debate while working in a partnership. This topic was selected based on mutual consensus. To further investigate on the topic we visited our faculty, and clinical instructors to gain their insights and to further dig up the topic. We also searched E-journals from various sources like CINAHL, Wolters Kluwers, Elsevier and Google scholars. We took turns and visited library. When my partner was busy with the placements I complied the data collected in a form of a cloud map to identify the gaps where as he searched for library as it was more convenient for him. 

What worked well?
Since, it was group work we completed our task on time by giving a feasibility to each other to work as per our schedule. Although, it took us a bit longer to get comfortable with each other to work with mutual understanding. Overall, we did had a productive criticism on each other viewpoints. Along with this due to COVID there wasn't any community place where we could sit and work productively. Distance working was a challenge as there were times when we misunderstood the ideas share through distant-props.

Key Issues

Conflicting schedules, getting to know each other and management of time were the challenges. Due to my partner’s placement it was difficult to jot down and plan appropriately. Also, it took a bit longer to get to know each other which delayed our work initially. Time management was crucial thing to do because deadline was approaching and we had several things to get prepared. Lastly, I didn’t had a good hand over technology that appeared as challenge to operate the while searching for E-journals.

Team Work

Teamwork is based on good communication. It is also found that who works effectively in a team those health workers are happier with their task. (Librarian, 2019). Moreover, I felt that collaboration was effective and resulted in a productive outcome.

For Future Collaboration

I will be well-equipped with the technology knowledge and will try to practice on it. I will also take initiatives for discussion in order to save time. 

Conclusion

In a nutshell, we did had a good communication with a delayed intervention. I should have taken initiatives for further data collection. Due to pandemic we had restrictions due to which we learnt how to work remotely. I realized that we should keep ourselves updated with time and technology.
