• Healthy ageing is the concept of getting older in a positive and healthy way. The Centenary Institute defines healthy ageing as "the idea of prolonging your well-being by developing and maintaining your abilities in older age" (2023).
• The concept of healthy ageing includes mental, physical and social health and wellbeing.
