• Maximum of 500 words for each blog.
The aim here is for you to choose a topic that is authentic to your experiences and interests.
Some tips to assist you in planning for this assignment:
1. Decide on Your Audience – this is up to you. Are you writing to inform consumers about their rights and what to expect? Are you writing to your peers about what students need to understand? Are you writing to health services to outline their responsibilities?
2. Use compelling ‘Headlines’ to guide the discussion
3. Add subheadings and shorter paragraphs to break up the page
4. Use Images, graphics, bullet points to captivate and engage the audience
5. Work out how you would like your blog to look in terms of the layout of graphics and text before you start to build your document which will be uploaded to FLO upon completion.
Guidelines:
· You can set out your blog however you want. Use Images, graphics and bullet points to engage the reader.
· You DO need to use your own words – plagiarism will not be accepted.
· Any information sourced from other resources does need to be referenced, however in text referencing is not necessary.
· As you are writing a blog rather than an essay you can use a more conversational style of writing and can use bullet points and links to other websites and documents.
· If you are feeling very creative, you may like to consider a Video Blog or Vlog.
· Relate the information you discuss to the codes and standards that the nursing professional is accountable to.
