The aim of this assignment is to demonstrate students’ ethical reasoning skills.  The students are to discuss the given issue (allocated by the tutor) and make a recommendations using the NMBA decision making framework (2020), the decision making framework from the textbook, and the ICN Code of Ethics  (2012) for formulate the response. 

 Each member of the team must contribute equally to the discussion. Students should demonstrate their creative thinking, and constructed knowledge by applying tools and strategies to gather, evaluate and use information to support their learning)

3. The group will be given a topic that is an ethical dilemma from a list.
4. Presentations will consist of (4) parts.

Part 1 -         A member of the group will introduce the allocated dilemma. An overview of the ethical issue must be provided, and the significance of the issue discussed, along with the context.

Part 2 -         The next group member will present the case FOR the topic. This is the affirmative or positive case, where you defend the statement, that is, say why the issue/question is ethically acceptable

Part 3 -         The next group member will present the case AGAINST the topic. This is the negative case, where you oppose the position of the previous presenter, that is, why the issue/question is ethically unacceptable?

Part 4 -       The fourth group member will summarise the ethical aspects of the case and the reasoning for the determination (decision) of the group, concluding the presentation.
