Chad (They/Them) is a 16-year-old with 3rd degree burns from a cooking accident to their anterior left forearm. Chad frying bacon when the fat from the bacon caught fire. To extinguish the fire, Chad dumped water on it, but this exploded, scalding her left forearm. Chad is an asthmatic, well controlled with a preventer and has no other relevant clinical history. Chad is admitted to the burns unit you are working on.
