Outline of the patients complex health care needs, demonstrating the ability to apply theoretical concepts including (but not limited to) pharmacology; pathophysiology; ethical and legal issues, fundamental care, social and cultural determinants of health.

Discussion and evaluation of nursing management of the patient, with linkage to the fundamentals of care.

Sound clinical rationales must be provided that support the care given to the patient using recent and relevant evidence-based literature - this could include research articles, industry recommendations and best practice
