Adam is from an African refugee background, he came to Australia as a teenager and he had known little English , he then started school . As english was his second language it was hard for him to adjust and keep up with school work , his inner circle friends were school drop out no other resources was available for him even his parents couldn’t help because they couldn’t speak English .As a results Adam dropped out of school, then he started using drugs and drinking alcohol . Excessive use of drugs damages Adams mental health he became mentally unstable. As a student nurse I was able to take him to a rehab centre ,but he was in denial. And continued to have suicidal thoughts. He was put on medication for mental stability. During this period of time Adam lost his jobs, friends and a desire to live. On the 27/05/2019 Adam took his life jumping of the building in the city of Dandenong in abroad day light landing on his head. Lesson learnt a mental health patient who had suicidal thoughts nothing you can do to help them.
