Advanced Project Management - Risk Management
Task:
This subject builds on the concepts introduced in OPS 935 Project Management, with special emphasis on managing complex and high-risk projects. The subject will include topics in advanced project management including risk management, defining and managing complex scope, system definition and configuration management, models development, contracts and acquisition strategy, business case and tender preparation, negotiation and conflict resolution, management of time and stress, relationship contracting and performance management.
STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES
On successful completion of this subject, students will be able to:
1. Apply \'systems\' thinking to the definition of project scope and the overall organization of a project.
2. Analyse and apply the processes required and the commercial considerations involved in business case
and tender preparation.
3. Evaluate and apply contemporary initiatives in complex and high-risk projects.
4. Apply and communicate inter-disciplinary knowledge in a given scenario for Project Management.
UPDATES TO THIS SUBJECT
