TASK:
RQ1: Which is the optimal method to expand the business of biodiesel in India or South East Asia?
RQ1.1 Which is the viable market for the biodiesel plant expansion, India or South East Asia?
RQ1.2 What is the best international market entry method for biodiesel plant to be entered in the identified viable market?
According to (Øystein Moen, 2010), the newly established firms those plan to enter in international market often have limited business setup resources in context with time, capital and capabilities. This kind of enterprises usually prefers such entry modes those are effectively characterized by the low resource commitment along with a separate partnership agreement. The findings of the author states that there are various new enterprises those remains relatively small over time. (Øystein Moen, 2010) also states that only small fraction of new firms would grow into larger firms in future. International business expansion is a great idea but it requires lots of strategic thinking because one mistake of a person might result in complete failure of newly established business in new country. The author concluded that there are so much of firms in which international expansion is a key requirement to realize the growth ambitions at the time when others pushed into international market just because of significant Research and Development start-up costs as well as limited home market potential. On the other hand, (Abhishek Gupta, 2013) stated that the officials of the organization should conduct PEST analysis before the start-up new business idea else the chances of risk occurrence and failure raises significantly. This analysis provides better assistance to the higher management of the organization that whether its good to set-up new business in specified location or not and if yes, then to what extent. (Abhishek Gupta, 2013) also stated that PEST is the most common and effective approach that is used by the key officials of the organizations for considering the external business environment. PEST analysis is directly linked with the political, economic, social and technological factors associated with the business and the respective collaboration of all these factors is recognized as macro-environmental factors that is further used in the environmental scanning component of strategic management of the organization. The key findings of (Abhishek Gupta, 2013) states that these factors are essential to be considered before actually expanding the business in an international market in order to make it a great success. The main reason behind business expansion in international market is getting high profits at minimum investments.
As per (Monisha J, 2013) point of view, with continuous increase in use and depleting issue of fossil fuels, the demand for better source of energy and an alternative solution increases effectively. This fluctuating demand promoted the emergence of biofuels among which the most acceptable one is considered as biodiesel. This is also a best alternative for the depleting energy resources. To produce biodiesel, various methods and approaches such as- BIOX process, transesterification and super critical process have been employed by the responsible individuals. Biodiesels have been employed from several sources such as- algal oil, edible oil and non-edible oil. The present research is based on the evaluation of more appropriate crop sources those are used to enhance the oil yield for corresponding biodiesel production. Also, (Monisha J, 2013) specified that around 0.53 billion m3 of biodiesel is highly required to replace overall transport fuel in international market according to the current consumption rate. Besides all these key aspects, several sources such as- waste cooking oil, oil crops, Jatraopha oil and soap stock failed to meet the demand of customer. (Monisha J, 2013) also stated that to develop the algal technology, high level expertise is required from the field of chemistry engineering, biotechnology and chemistry as well.
(Shaheen Shah, 2015) stated that in response to continuously rising rate of greenhouse emission from different sources of renewable fuels and even from petroleum fields those further minimizes the net carbon output to the atmosphere those are being continuously commercialized in international market. The findings of author also specified that the lower TRL biofuels have effectual potential to contribute significantly in international market’s biodiesel supply. Due to continuous growth of Indian economy, the demand of energy is also increasing in a rapid pace in recent times those further comprises of coal, oil and natural gas. Biodiesel is an alternative that already become an integral component in countries like- US, China, Brazil, USA, and Europe. The author also provided some examples related with various potential biodiesel prevalent plants in India such as- Linseed, Bean, Sunflower, Sesame, Cotton, and Castor bean. (Shaheen Shah, 2015) summarized that all these biodiesel plants are required to be kept under consideration for the secure and healthy future in context to energy. On the other hand, (Adrian Zhou, 2009) specified that Asia’s largest biofuels producers are Malaysia, Thailand, India, Philippines and China. In context to south Asia, an annual growth rate is expected of around 6.8% from year 2006 to 2030 for overall biofuel consumption in transport sector of the country. The findings of author also state that Asia might become the major market for and the corresponding exporter of biofuels. Thus, business expansion in international market is an excellent idea that could be prioritized by the organizations for their business growth rate and corresponding profitability level as well (Adrian Zhou, 2009).
