The following report is based on an organisation known as Kahoot and focuses on the Australian unit also known as Kahoot Australia. This includes a search engine for users, online products and services, cloud services and advertising. The board of directors wanted to continue the success that Kahoot Australia had been experiencing, however, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Monica Sanchez had announced her retirement and left Kahoot Australia who had been with the organisation since it had launched. Since then the organisation had recently appointed Alex Gunner to fulfil the role as CEO over the next three years who had recently been the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the organisation for the last five years.

However over recent months management have realised some issues growing internally within the staff. Staff of Kahoot Australia don’t seem to be happy with their current positions within the organisation and have invested many years into the organisation ranging from 3-10 years across many departments.

These issues have occurred since Alex had implemented a restructure of the business which had caused much confusion as the organisation had a different culture and structure over the last 10 years. However, Alex and the board believe that a new structure is crucial for Kahoot Australia to continue to be successful as the make their organisation compared to the rest of the industry. There has been much controversy in many departments over the last few months that include the software engineering team, human resource management (HRM), call centre team and the advertising department that has issues with motivation, engagement, teamwork and job attitudes. 

Throughout the report there will be much discussion of the theories that have been demonstrated by the organisation and recommendations will then be provided for the organisation to consider helping improve organisational behaviour in their organisation.

Another issue that had been viewed was the call centre team not engaging with their roles with a new training program being added. This new program has made employees work extra hours during the week and possible weekend work that has caused many conflicts within the team and engagement has been lowered over time. The human resource management team have noticed the recent changes that have occurred within Kahoot Australia and have struggled to figure out which departments are affected with the organisational culture change. They have discussed this issue with many members of the organisation although are figuring out different methods to measure the job attitudes within Kahoot. The general culture of the organisation has been affected due to these recent events that has caused much affect to the staff’s motivation, engagement, teamwork and job attitudes.
