TASK A – DESIGN OSCILLATOR Design a custom 555 oscillator according to the following specifications:

- The 3 tones to be generated are 9 kKz; 15/2 kKz; 9/3 kKz; all rounded to the closest 0.1 kHz. If any of these values turn out to be zero, choose a random kHz value for that tone.

- Plan the above 3 designs so that only one component has to be changed to implement the unique tone, all other components should be identical.

- Now combine the 3 circuits into 1 by using a 3-way switch to select the wanted unique component value for the unique output tone wanted.
The output of the 555 oscillator should be fed into the next stage in order to smoothen the waveform closer to a sine wave (removing unwanted ‘harmonics’).

 TASK B – DESIGN OP-AMP FILTER + AMPLIFIER Design a custom op-amp active filter with band-pass response to just include all three tones coming from the oscillator. The following specifications should be used for the design of your filter:

• Cascade a low-pass and high-pass filter to form the band-pass filter.
