INTRODUCTION
Over a century sourcing of raw materials and other supplies, transformation of raw materials into finished products through manufacturing and other processes, and the logistics of materials and finished products between companies towards the end consumer have been happing before, hence the need of managing the processes.
Supply Chain Management (SCM) is defined as the integration of key business processes and information systems from the suppliers of components, materials, parts and other ingredients through to the focal firm that produces or provides the finished good or service, and beyond that, to the end customers with the purpose of reducing supply chain–wide costs, and enhancing value creation and value delivery to the ultimate customer’s satisfaction” (Kanyoma, 2018 p12). For supply chain to be successful it needs partners who are going to be directly involved with the organisation hence the need to integrate their process, activities and information. According to Alfalla-Luque, Medina-Lopez and Dey, 2013, p. 801. Supply Chain Integration SCI is defined as the “comprehensive collaboration between SC network members in strategic, tactical and operational decision-making.
SCI could also be classified as internal, customer and supplier integration (Shee et al., 2018; Song et al., 2019). This can also be further narrowed down in two categories to internal integration of the focal company only and external integration which is the customer or the supplier. Organization do engage themselves in SC integration in order to reduce risk, to be innovative and gain a competitive advantage in the market, hence having customer loyalty and satisfaction.
We are going to analyses Ehsan et al 2017, in which the decision making frame work for SCI strategies and implementation mechanism in FEI, and Kanyoma et al where is finding out why are SCs not integrated and how integrated are the SCs of manufacturing-based SMEs in Malawi and also Kanyoma 2020, did what are the inhibitors and enablers of SCI in the SCs of manufacturing based SMEs in Malawi, how do differences in SC position influence SCI in the SCs of manufacturing based SME in Malawi and how can inhibitors of SCI within the SCs of manufacturing –based SME in Malawi be mitigated.

AIM/PURPOSE
The purpose of this paper is to define the “fast evolving industry” (FEI) and its supply chain management (SCM) challenges
ARTICLE TYPE Conceptual paper
APPROACH
(non research papers) This review is about supply chain strategy, supply chains integration, agile and responsive supply chain and development of framework for risk management and implementation strategies
CONCLUSION
(non research only)
SCM frameworks are helping FEI to articulate their resource strategies, or implementing policies. FEI companies need to be reactive and proactive to market variations, The SC frameworks lack the accuracy and details although it helps SC integration strategies and implementation policies. It is not clear that high level of innovation and differentiation, short products/services lifecycle and high variety is what constitute FEI
RELATIONSHIP TO OTHER ANNOTATED REFERENCES
Kanyoma et al 2018 and Kanyoma et al 2020 because both findings is that external affects and internal integration and also used the Resource Based View and mention that supply risk invites integration between organization
STRENGTHS
The frame work is valid because it has a backup from other case study. It is covering the whole industry and not specific
WEEKNESS The conceptual model and decision framework did not consider the other players in the chain as an important product to one player may not be important to another .i.e. suppler

Inhibitors and enablers of supply chain integration across multiple supply chain tiers: evidence from Malawi
AIM/PURPOSE
This paper investigates the inhibitors and enablers of supply chain integration (SCI) across multiple tiers in the supply chains of manufacturing-based small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Malawi.
ARTICLE TYPE
Qualitative Research
METHOD
(research papers only) A qualitative approach and data were collected through face to face interviews through three supply chains, each consisting of a focal manufacturer, a major supplier and a retailer.
FINDINGS (research only) Information technology and interpersonal relationships, interdependence, cost sharing and joint SCM investments enables SCI. The inhibitors of SCI are relations factor, economy, resource constraints and infrastructural deficiencies
RELATIONSHIP TO OTHER ANNOTATED REFERENCES This article is similar with Kanyoma 2018 in terms of integration is more of supplier and manufacturer and not with customer.
STRENGTHS Its covers both internal and external integration which influence SCI and it has used recent literature which talks more about integration
