Overview

The assessment for this course requires you to choose your own context for analysis - think of this as a miniature research project and a practice for your dissertation. With reference to programme and portfolio management, think about the systems and process that are in place in your current workplace (or a workplace you are familiar with) and how they support programme and/or portfolio management.

Critical Analysis

Using the research from your annotated bibliography, alongside other appropriate concepts taken from the course, provide a critical appraisal of your chosen topic within the programme and/or portfolio management systems and processes in your current place of work (or a workplace you are familiar with).

You must provide:

• A brief introduction to the situation you will be using for your critical appraisal.

• A Gap Analysis: an assessment of the current programme and portfolio management systems and processes, in relation of the theories and methodologies from this module

• Recommendations for Improvement: a proposal for the ‘future-state ’of the programme and portfolio management systems and processes, including a change management plan.

You may choose to use diagrams and process maps.Remember, all theories, concepts and methodologies MUST be properly referenced using the Harvard referencing system
