Case study

Aged care facilities provide care for older persons who are often living with life-limiting conditions. Commonly, palliative care is required by residents in aged care facilities to provide relief from symptoms and promote quality of life.

You are the Educator at WS Nursing Home (WSNH), a residential aged care facility. Part of your role is to orientate New Graduate Registered Nurses to the provision of palliative care in your workplace. You are required to provide a written response in paragraph format to these three frequently asked questions written by New Graduate nurses starting at WSNH.
