Problem:  During an amateur football match between Dynamo and Sparta, Smith, a Dynamo player, deliberately fouls an opponent, Jones, as a result of which Jones suffers a broken leg. Several Sparta players surround Smith and one of them, Armstrong, remarks: "I'll see you after the match if you don't watch out". In the club bar after the match Smith, by way of a practical joke, pulls a chair away just as Brown, the referee, is about to sit down. Brown falls over, striking his head on the floor. Armstrong approaches Smith and throws a punch at him, but Smith steps aside and the blow strikes Robson. Thomson, the barman, grabs hold of Armstrong and throws him into the cellar. Thomson then locks the door, saying that he will let Armstrong out when he has calmed down. There is a door at the back of the cellar leading outside. Armstrong does not bother to try to open the door, because he knows from experience that it is normally kept locked. In fact, on this occasion the door is open. When Thomson returns to the bar, he threatens to set his dog on anyone who misbehaves.
