During Workshop 2/ Practical B and Workshop 3/ Practical C of Intensive 1 you will care for patients that are experiencing neurological complications. In either Workshop 2 or 3 you will be assigned as a 'nurse' to work through the scenario. As part of your care for your assigned patient you may choose to undertake a Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) or a pupillary response assessment. 
Whilst undertaking this assessment: 
• one of your peers will video record you completing the skill (you are not being assessed on this, however, you will need to submit it into MyLO) 
• one of your peers will evaluate your performance based on the associated Berman Clinical Skills Appraisal Form (you are not being assessed on this, however, you will need to submit it into MyLO) 
After the Intensive you will be required to reflect on your video performance. You will review the feedback (completed Berman Clinical Skill Appraisal Form) that you have received from your peer and identify what you did well and what needs to be improved before you go on PER Using the Driscoll's Model of Reflection (2007), you will then need to discuss the weakness(es) you have identified in relation to the RN Standards for Practice and formulate some strategies to overcome the identified weakness(es).
