• Discuss the correct surgical positioning technique for Mrs. Pham, outlining the anatomical and physiological considerations related to the position and Mrs. Pham’s comorbidities. Include in your discussion the nurse’s role and responsibility when positioning the patient.
• Mrs Pham is at high risk of disease transmission, examine the principles of infection prevention you will need to observe in the role of the circulating nurse. In your answer relate specifically to the case study and identify implications for Mrs. Pham if these principles are not maintained.
