Assignment Task

Your poster is to reflect on the development of both your personal and professional values in relation to yourself and others. You will focus on the following questions based on a model of reflection.

1. Where did you begin in terms of your personal values and sense of self think about your own identity, your self-confidence, integrity and commitment, and how you relate to others.

2. Where are you now in terms of your values - what have you learnt? What changes have occurred as a result of class discussions, or discussions with personal tutor/academic coaches? Has your self-confidence and sense of identity changed? How has your reading or learning on the course, or your interaction with others, influenced your values? (Consider issues of diversity, peer group dynamics, valuing others)

3. Where are you going? Think about your personal values, what do you need to do to develop and/or change further? What gaps are there in your personal development and how will you address them?

4. Where did you begin in terms of your professional values - here think about any previous workplace experiences you may have had or would like to have? Consider issues of ethics, equality and diversity.

5. Where are you now in terms of your professional values and identity? What have you learned? What changes have occurred as a result of your learning? How do your values relate to statutory professional standards?

6. Where are you going? Think about your professional values and attitudes, how might they change as a result of your learning? What do you need to do develop and/or change further? What is the importance of being an ethical and reflective practitioner?
