Present a project plan in the form of a report of up to 3,000 words plus accompanying website.  2 key deliverables: 

1. You are to create a website for your own personal brand

2. In the accompanying report you will document how you planned and executed this project.  

There are many free or very cheap website building tools available to you (WIX and Wordpress being 2 well known examples), or you can use any number of paid options as well – the choice is yours.

Your report will utilise the PM tools we cover in class plus any other business tools or models which you find relevant or helpful.  At minimum your report will include a detailed Work Breakdown Structure, Gantt Chart, Stakeholder Analysis, Risk Analysis, Financial statement.  You should note key challenges you faced and how these were overcome, and conclude with a short section (up to 1 page) summarising your experience in the form of a note to future students facing a similar project.

The website should serve as a platform to promote and advertise you – your abilities, skills, aims and achievements in a way that is attractive, comprehensive, and likely to get you noticed by employers.  This project will involve design, content creation and management, perhaps learning some new technical skills in creating a website, video content, etc.  You may involve others in your project in an advisory capacity (and document your interactions and their inputs as stakeholders), but the majority of the work must be done by you.  The 40% grade carries an expectation of around 80-100 hours of work, so your submissions should reflect this type of effort.

Your report should be professionally written, structured and presented.  It should have a Table of Contents, numbered sections and be fully academically referenced using the Harvard referencing style.  References are to be listed as Endnotes not footnotes.  An Executive Summary of no more than 1 page should also be included.  Word count includes everything apart from References, Appendices and diagrams.  To gain a top mark I expect extensive evidence of referencing credible sources (both academic & business) outside the course textbook and lecture notes.
