Assignment Task

For this assessment, you are required to write an equity research report on Shell Plc. You are assessed based partly on your technical skills, but more importantly the extent to which you understand the materials covered in the module.
Your report should include the following content:

1. A summary page of the report and recommendation. 

2. Strategy analysis. You are required to apply the analytical framework to perform an in-depth analysis of the firm's strategy, which provides implications for your subsequent analysis and forecasts.

3. The company's recent financial performance, based on value-relevant ratio analysis using reformulated income statements and statements of financial position. Accounting analysis should be performed to check the quality of input in your ratio analysis.

4. The forecast assumptions.

5. The intrinsic (i.e., fundamental) value of the equity of the company using the enterprise-based valuation based on the abnormal operating profit and free cash flow valuation models. You should also include a brief discussion on sensitivity analysis, recommendations and share price history.
