Part B – Practical skills
The practical skills component of this assessment will take place on campus in the clinical skills lab on
the date outlined in your course timetable. A time will be arranged for you to attend for your assessment. 

• You will be required to print this assessment prior to attend class.
• The non-invasive skills will be simulated with one of your classmates representing the patient.
• The invasive skills will be simulated with a mannekin representing the patient.

Part C – Clinical handover and patient family interaction
This part of the assessment will be completed on campus in the clinical skills lab at a time advised by your educator.  During this assessment, your educator will be taking on the role of the nurse taking over Chris’s care for the next shift and you will be required to provide them an ISOBAR (WA) / ISBAR (SA) handover.  In addition, your educator will take on the role of one of Chris’s family members and you will need to interact with them regarding Chris’s plan of care.
