This is the first assessment for Information Sourcing and Evaluation. For this assessment you will create an annotated bibliography of information resources, selected to meet the specific information need in the scenario described here.

Scenario: Your manager will soon need to decide whether to adopt a new information or communication technology. Your manager has asked you to gather information resources that could be used to evaluate the technology under consideration, with a preference for information about use of the technology in similar organisations for similar reasons.

Task

1. Briefly describe the organisation that you work for, the technology under consideration, and the reasons that the technology is being evaluated for adoption.

2. Find and select eight information resources that could be used to evaluate your selected technology. The selected information resources should include at least one resource from each of the following categories: (1) peer reviewed research, (2) professional literature, (3) technical documentation, (4) government or commercial websites, (5) social media posts, (6) video or audio resources. For each resource provide an APA style reference, a description of the information it provides, an evaluation of its credibility, and an analysis of its utility.

3. Write a brief reflection describing the databases or search tools that you used to find your information resources, the key words used, and any other filters, delimiters, or tools. Explain your choices.
