The aim of this assessment is to enable students to develop an understanding of safe medication management.

Assessment Details

Your portfolio will consist of work you have undertaken over the course of the semester and is divided into two (2) parts, Part A and Part B. During each of the medication related classes, you will be asked to answer a Weekly Topic Question (WTQ) related to a safe medication management topic covered that week. Your tutorial group will be assigned a Weekly Topic Question (WTQ) and the question will be different for each tutorial group to avoid student collusion. You need to post your answer before you can see the answers of other students in your tutorial group. Following your post to the WTQ. you will then contribute to the Posting of Peers (PoP), by responding and con- tributing to the answers for this group discussion in a meaningful and substantive way. 

You will be required to complete the following as part of this assessment:

Part A:

The completion of a minimum of one (1) interactive learning activity (post-tutorial activities) from different weeks. Answer a minimum of one (1) Weekly Topic Questions (WTQ) over the course of the semester on the Discus- sion Board and provide a minimum of one (1) appropriate responses to Posting of Peers (POP). However, completion of more activities across different weeks will be awarded more marks (maximum of four (4)).

Part B:

The completion of a minimum of one (1) interactive learning activity (post-tutorial activities) from different weeks. Answer a minimum of one (1) Weekly Topic Questions (WTQ) over the course of the semester on the Discus- sion Board and provide a minimum of one (1) appropriate responses to Posting of Peers (PoP). However, completion of more activities across different weeks will be awarded more marks (maximum of four (4)). Additionally, you will be assessed on a word reflection statement on what you have learnt about safe medication management and how you will apply those principles to your nursing practice.
