1. Research, Develop and Implement employee and industrial relations policies and plans for your organisation – Specifically an “Integrated Performance Support / Management” process.

This is a multi-part, “practical” Assessment task where you are required to demonstrate your understanding and ability to perform actions around the research, development and implementation of a Employee Relations Policy and Plan (specifically an Integrated Performance Support / Management Process).

The plan will include relevant research and specific organisational strategies and policies to ensure a well performing workforce.

You are expected to review, analyse and interpret information from a range of internal and external sources to identify:

• Long-term employee relations expectations aligned to your organisational objectives,

• Relevant legislation in relation to employee relations and performance management,

• Identification of the skills and knowledge needed to implement the policy, 

• Cost-Benefit and Risk Analysis of the possible options, 

• The key components of the Performance Support / Management Process / Policy, and 

• Outline the Implementation plan for the roll out of the process.

You will need to review current / existing policies, plans and processes to determine their effectiveness, and then develop and plan to implement (possibly with improvement modifications) these into your organisation's workforce.

It will also be necessary to consult relevant stakeholders regarding changes which should be made for achievement of the organisational objectives, and you should outline a variety of strategies for the purpose of addressing poor performance within your workforce.

Overall, in this task you are required to: -

• Research, analyse and interpret information from a range of internal sources / policies / procedures relating to Employee relations, specifically “Performance Support and Management” within your organisation. This will include an 

• Analysis of strategic and operational plans to determine the long term employee relations in-line with your organisational objectives

• Analysis of existing employee relations policy and plan performance in relation to workforce objectives

• Determine objectives for performance-management processes that support organisational strategy and goals and to build organisational capability

• Evaluation of the options and or recommended improvements in terms of cost-benefit, risk-analysis and current legislative requirements
