1. You have been approached by a client who wants to run his business by applying project management techniques. You want to advise the client to apply the techniques of the ten knowledge areas of the body of knowledge of project management. You must also advise the client on the potential areas to watch which can make a project fail. The members of the operations team for the client’s business organisation have also been struggling with allocating expenses correctly according to different types of costs.

1.2. Critically examine any ten reasons why project fail in South Africa and beyond, provide practical examples to validate your answers.

2. You have been appointed to work as a project manager by the central government and your task is to spearhead a community development programme.

2.2. With the aid of diagrams, discuss in detail the three project continuums explaining the importance of collaborating project work and production line work, provide examples in all instances

3. You have been appointed as the Project Manager for PetsFlo Investments and you are required to provide a detailed presentation to the project steering board, project sponsor, the ABC Ltd Bank and the Siyavhuka residents, about the importance of project writing as part of communication management.

3.1. Give a detailed account of the project report writing highlighting the importance of the various reports used in project management.
