Essay Writing Assessment Answer

Assignment Task: PP3331 Academic & Communication Skills (PP3331) The re-sit task for Component 2: Research essay If you have failed Component 2 (Research Essay), it will be due to insufficient engagement with the various workshop tasks on the module, or you may have missed/ failed the final project essay.  In order to pass the Component, you have to write an essay (1000 words +/-10%) on the topic below. “Antimicrobial resistance and infectious diseases affecting human health” a) Re-sit_Component 2: Workshop”. You should search the literature including textbooks, scientific media (scientific journals, reports), and websites of non-commercial, credible organisations such as WHO, NHS, NIH, CDC, ONS, etc.  You should cite and reference your essay using appropriate referencing (Harvard style); refer to Cite Them Right.  Make sure you introduce the topic, discuss the main aspects relevant to the topic, and support your arguments with data as much as possible.  As in any scientific essay, it is important to include facts and figures, data and statistics wherever possible, and to make sure that all figures and tables are numbered and given appropriate titles. As you progress with your work, check that your essay is answering the question posed in the topic and not going on a tangent. The sources should be provided for all data, including tables and figures, both in text and the reference list at the end of your essay. You are strongly advised to submit your work well in advance of the deadline to avoid unexpected circumstances leading to failure to upload before the deadline.   All re-sit coursework for other students will also be around the same time and there will be a big electronic traffic jam!  Please remember that failing one component at this stage means that you will not complete the Foundation year.
