Project Description and Background
Transport for NSW is responsible for improving the customers experience of transport services, transport policy and regulation, planning, and program administration, procuring transport services, and infrastructure and freight.
The CBD and Southeast Light Rail (CSELR) project is part of Sydney's light rail network. This project is one of the NSW Government’s major infrastructure projects delivered to serve a growing Sydney population.
The project included 12.5 kilometres long light rail line with 19 stops which extends from Circular Quay via the Central Station and connect with the Moore Park sporting and entertainment precinct Randwick Racecourse, the University of New South Wales (NSW) and Prince of Wales Hospital at Randwick and Kingsford. Main construction commenced in October 2015, with services between Circular Quay and Randwick commenced on 14 December 2019 as the L2 Randwick Line, and between Circular Quay and Kingsford on 3 April 2020 as the L3 Kingsford Line
