You are required to carry out a pre-demolition inspection of a small commercial building. To undertake this assessment you have to find a single-storey non-residential building, for example a shop, office, factory, service station, sporting clubhouse or the like, and complete the following:
a) Provide a reasonably close-to-scale sketch of the building and building block.
b) Take photos of both the inside and outside and surrounds of the building.
c) Identify any areas that will require special attention during demolition on the sketch.
You may need to arrange permission from the building owner/tenant to have access to the building.

Task 1.2 – Pre-demolition report
Produce a pre-demolition report using the headings as outlined under the heading ‘Preliminary Investigations’ in the Demolition section of the learning materials.

Produce a Demolition removal plan for the proposed demolition work to be undertaken in Task 1.2 Your demolition removal plan MUST cover all points as listed in criterion 3 in Information Paper D1 link in the Demolition Removal Plan of the learning materials in Connect.

Describe how you would ensure that the system meets the FRL requirements, and outline what specific information you would look for or obtain.

You are scheduled to build a new project that is to use timber trusses with Trimdek roofing. Produce a checklist (see template over page) that you could use to ensure the overall quality of the roof system meets all relevant codes, standards and the general level of quality of workmanship expected from your sub-contractors that will be used for the project.
