Overview
A group research project in preparation for Playwork Placement. In this task, students will translate theory into practice and plan for their Playwork Pop-Up Placement.
The purpose of this assessment task is to:
Assessment structure
In this assessment, you will work in a group to critically analyse beliefs about children and early childhood practice and creatively reimagine how this might look in practice.
This will be in the form of a research project in preparation for your Playwork Placement that reflects the group’s emerging understanding of agentic, play-based early childhood programs.

The VU Learning Support team have put together the Reading at University - Critical Thinking document. Page 2 will support the critical analysis process for this task.
Research and Theory
Each heading will include references to unit concepts, resources (e.g. readings, videos, activities) and relevant research.
