Part A: Prepare a project charter document
Before inviting the stakeholders for the project kick-off meeting, it is necessary for a Project Manager to study and understand the project requirements and prepare a project charter for approval by them project sponsor. Therefore, the student is required to:
Task 2.1 Read the given project in detail, understand all the requirements and constraints, and prepare the project charter as per the provided template. This will include the project objectives and direct/ indirect benefits compared with long-term organisational strategies along with the project governance structure.

Part B: Role play on establishing project
Once the project charter document is completed, the Project Manager must call a meeting involving key stakeholders to discuss and finalise the Project Charter document. You will assume the role of Project Manager for the project to implement a new College Management System (CMS) and perform a role play on establishing project. Your trainer/ assessor will act as the Project Sponsor and two (2) of your classmates will act as Administration Manager and Marketing Manager respectively.

Task 2.2 Discuss and establish the understanding on project objectives, desired outcomes expected from this project and establish its benefits for the short-term and long-term gains.
