Procedure of Testing Hypothesis Assignment

Assignment Task

Select an area of interest related to your field of study. Select a topic(s) that we covered in statistics.

1) Give a description of the area of interest

a) include what about the area interests you.

b) include what you believe your statistics will apply to the area of interest.

2) Describe the area of statistics which you would apply to the area of interest.

a)Include what type of statistics you would use(descriptive vs inferential) and what you would measure or inferential statistics, what type of study (designed vs observational)

b) State what type of calculations you would use(grouped data calculations vs non grouped) (z tests, t-tests, etc) and how those things are calculated and the interpretation

3) Include 1 image relating to the statistical analysis in your paper(this could be something like a normal distribution for the variable, or a scatterplot with an L-S regression line) This should be no more than 3-5 pages double-spaced. Think of the body of the paper as more of an interview/ conversation where the interviewer is asking each of those questions above and you are simply responding to them. I would suggest handwriting it unless you are comfortable typing in formulas into a Word document.
