From the time any quiz is opened by a student, there will be 45 minutes in which to complete the quiz, approximately one question per 90 seconds. Please advise me by email if you have a Learning and Assessment Plan (LAP) that allocates extra time for tests and exams.
You will therefore not have time to look up answers – make sure you have completed the learning materials and are confident you have enough knowledge and understanding of the concepts studied before attempting the quiz.
In the past, students have been distracted by children, animals and phone calls. Please learn from their incomplete assessments. Make sure you will not be disturbed. There is no opportunity for the quiz to be repeated. You have one opportunity only.
There is no capacity to go back and change an answer for any question. Once a student selects an answer, they cannot go back and change their mind, please ensure you carefully select your answers when submitting them.
The 30 questions in each quiz are randomly selected by Blackboard from a pool of questions.
If the ECU server or Blackboard fails contact the unit coordinator immediately by email sending screen shots of the problem. The Unit Coordinator will only reset the quiz if the problem lies with ECU. If you have ANY doubt about the reliability of your internet connection, then please complete the quiz on campus in the E-labs. If a problem occurs with a student’s computer or server, no reset option is available.
It is a student’s choice to leave the online quiz until the last minute when illness or unexpected competing interests may occur.
