Assignment Task

On PowerPoint presentation, You'll be writing on the body of the slides only and please do not add notes in the notes section. Use the template of seven slides provided to you as follows. You will have one title slide, five slides for the body of the presentation, and the final slide will be for your reference list. And again, please use the template provided to guide you. So, in a little more detail,

Slide

1. You'll be using your introduction slide, which is slide one, as you would for an essay with your name, student number, the unit coordinator, submission date, and the title of your work on it. 

2. You will introduce your topic by stating the key questions asked by your selected family members and briefly explaining how you will provide an answer. So, this is establishing the context for your presentation and then explaining what you're going to do. 

3. You need to identify and analyze the original research paper. So this will be the original research suggesting that vaccination caused autism or the original research suggesting that facilitated communication is effective. And summarized the key points from the original research paper. 

4. You need to identify research that either refutes the original research or supports the original research and summarize the key points that you found. So you need to go to the literature and see if you can find other research that supports the original findings or find other research that suggests that the original findings might in fact not be correct. 

5. You then present your conclusions. So, what have you concluded by reading the original research and subsequent research on the same topic? So, present your conclusions on the fifth slide. 

6. About your audience. What sort of questions are they likely to be asking you at this point in your presentation? Put yourself in their place and think of two questions that could come from your audience. Put these on slide six and provide brief answers based on the research that you've done, the information that you've presented. So, this will be clarifying and summarizing your presentation, the key points from that. 

7. (final slide), you'll need to include an APA seventh edition formatted reference list. And remember, learning how to do this is part of your assessment and part of your learning in this unit. Please save and submit your file in PowerPoint format and there's a suggested naming convention here. So how is this 

Vaccination

You are a healthcare professional supporting Alison and Paul, who have been having difficulty coping with the stress involved in caring for their daughter Sarah because of her compromised immune system and frequent illnesses.

Alison is particularly concerned about Sarah contracting measles and/or whooping cough. She is concerned enough to ask that Emily, John and their two children Jessica and Paula have no contact with either Sarah or Blake, as Jessica and Paula have not been vaccinated.

Alison has told you that Emily is anti-vaccination because she believes this caused her brother Edward’s autism. Emily refuses to have her own children Jessica and Paula vaccinated because of this belief. Alison wants to persuade Emily to change her mind and have Jessica and Paula vaccinated. Alison has asked you whether the MMR vaccine causes autism.
