Analyse and identify the key issues in the study and practice of translating and interpreting. The template for Task A can be found in Appendix 1. Answer the questions in Task A accordingly. In developing responses to the questions, consider your learnings from the theories and concepts that would result in effective communication to clients and transfer of meaning. Theories and concepts are mainly from Baker’s “In other words” (Chapter 4 and 6).

Task B

Demonstrate your knowledge of some of the theoretical aspects of this unit by answering seven questions. This is a short-answer task which you need to successfully complete in order to be deemed satisfactory for this assessment You are to answer the questions in Task B. These are knowledge questions and you will be required to research and provide references to justify your answers. Template for Task B can be found in Appendix 2.
