As a first analysis, we conduct an ordinal regression analysis6 to examine the association between similarity based on several char- acteristics and the probability of receiving a (super)like on Tinder. We include the seven – standardised – variables on similarity in char- acteristics (supra, Section 2), as well as all the – also standardised – perceived characteristics of the evaluated profiles and characteristics of the participants.
