Highlights
The aim is for the student to demonstrate and synthesize:
Purpose
A critical skill in all jobs is to be able to communicate complex ideas using simple language and using a variety of mediums. This is especially true in health-related fields where health education is an integral part of preventive medicine and treatment. In this assessment, you will apply lifespan development theory to choosing interventions to help a toddler or a young child adjust to a new sibling and design an infographic-styled poster to communicate these interventions to parents and support people in an antenatal clinic.
Task
The task is to present an A3 antenatal infographic-styled clinic poster about preparing the family for the birth of the second child. You can choose the software to design the poster. Canva is a poster design program and is free to use and download. Publisher is available through Microsoft 365 (free to students through CDU). You may have another software program. Ensure that your program can save your poster in a PDF format so that it can be uploaded through the Turnitin portal. A step-by-step guide to using Canva is in the Assessment folder. The poster needs to be suitable for parents and parent support people who attend the clinic. The target age of the older sibling is up to 6 years old in a minority cultural group. You will need to understand the following aspects of the introduction of a new sibling
