Task Instructions

• You will need to choose your own topic. The topic you choose must be one that is researched in psychology.
  • Do NOT choose a topic that falls within physiological psychology / neuropsychology, or where the focus is on the biological basis. This is because these areas do NOT have a theoretical framework.
• An appropriate theory is outlined and applied to the topic.
• Research on the topic is summarised and critiqued. Most of the research should be published within the past 10 years.
• Based from the critique of the research, a rationale for a proposed study is provided. An aim and hypothesis are provided for the proposed study, along with a brief outline on how the proposed study would be conducted.
• Using the NHMRC's (2023) National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human ResearchLinks to an external site., ethical considerations of the proposed study are considered.
