Healthcare Assignment:

Women undergo many physiological changes in pregnancy, which make diagnostic thresholds among the pregnant women difficult. This prompts the need to identify standard guidelines for management and treatment of sepsis in the obstetric population. These physiological changes are designed to enhance oxygenation and delivery of nutrients to the mother and the fetus as well as enhancing the growth and development of the fetus (Soma Pillay Et al's, 2016). During this period of pregnancy, levels of secreted hormones: progesterone and oestrogen, and adrenal gland produced hormones increase dramatically. There also are major alterations in the immune response (Kumar and Magon, 2012). A healthy gestation is characterized by an increase in the bacterial load and profound alterations in the composition of gut microbiota (Ohayon, Neuman & Koren 2016). The microbial composition is similar to that of non-pregnant healthy women during the first trimester. However, there are drastic increases in the numbers of gut microbiota from the first to the third trimester. These physiological changes and the fluctuations in hormone levels within the body have significant repercussions on the immune system, which predisposes the mother to sepsis. Second, guidelines for management of sepsis in pregnant women are derived from data and research conducted on non-pregnant women, hence causing the existence of a shortage in these guidelines (Stewart, 2014). Third, there are many factors considered before deciding which therapy is optimal for patients. When dealing with pregnant women, more factors are considered. Questions: 1)  Describe and construct a program theory and program logic diagram for a program based on prioritised need 2)  Construct a clear program plan using goals, objectives, strategies and indicators in preparation for implementation and evaluation
