The purpose is to provide the Employer with enough information to respond to questions from the media regarding OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE to PFAS from the site investigated in this document. This could be for workers on the site, contractors visiting the site occasionally or workers in the vicinity but outside the site.

Students who are not enrolled in PU65 or PU67 may choose either the environmental health or OHS discipline viewpoint detailed above. Please SPECIFY your viewpoint in your title.

Step 1. Analytical summary
Based on the risk assessment framework for the supplied case study, write a 1,000-word (maximum) analytical summary. The summary should include:
• the background (i.e. issues)
• a summary of the hazard and exposure
• implications and recommendations of the study.

It is essential that you use evidence-based literature (MINIMUM 5 REFERENCES) to support your statements.

Step 2. Briefing note
Based on the provided instructions, prepare a briefing note for the Minister/Employer. The briefing note should be completed with all headings indicated in the instructions.
Whilst in practice references are not used extensively in preparing briefing notes, this is an academic assessment and therefore it is essential that evidence-based literature (minimum 5 references) will support your arguments (these should be the same references used in your analytical summary).
