Project
You have start/stop push-buttons (must be labeled) that will control an oil pump. This oil pump must run at all times when you are using the wood splitter. The pump is self-regulating. (The pump will maintain at the proper pressure of 100 PSI).
You have an extend push-button (normally open, labeled extend) that will open Valve 2 (V2) to force the cylinder to extend, and Valve 3 (V3) will open to allow the oil in the cylinder to return to the tank.
You have a retract push-button (normally open, labeled retract) that will open Valve 1 (V1) to force the cylinder to retract, and Valve 4 (V4) will open
to allow the oil in the cylinder to return to the tank.
A pressure switch (P1) will activate Valve 5 (V5) to release pressure from the pump back into the tank if pressure exceeds 120 PSI
A low-level float switch (L1) set at 40 % of the total tank will give a red light indication (Located inside the oil tank)
A low, low-level float switch (L2) set at 10 % of the total tank will stop the pump (PUMP 1) or prevent it from starting. (Located inside the oil tank)
A limit switch (LS1) will stop the cylinder from overextending.
A limit switch (LS2) will stop the cylinder from over retracting.
A temperature (T1) switch inside the tank rises above 120 degrees C the wood splitter motor stop).
Motor overload elements will stop the Pump motor.

Special notes
The oil pump is rated at 208 Volts, 3 phase (must use a three-phase contactor)
All the control device will be at 120 volts
All contractors, if needed, will be labeled (C1, C2, C3, ...),
All control relays, if needed, will be labeled (CR1, CR2, CR3, ...)
